This is hallmarked Birmingham 1954 and has the makers mark of 'W.T.T&Co' - W T Toghill & Co.  It has an engine turned pattern to both the front and back covers.  There is a plain cartouche to the upper left corner of the front cover.
The case has a gilt interior and has the hallmarks clearly stamped.  There is an engraved inscription to the inside left cover which reads 'To Jack in appreciation of 25 years friendship and service from Reg, Eric & Monty June 1955.
This case is in excellent condition and is complete with its original soft leather pouch and is boxed in the original retailers box 'W.Ackland & Son, 23 St Leonards Rd, Windsor.
The width of the case when closed is 8.4cm, the length is 14cm and the thickness is 1cm. 
The weight is 220.90 grams (7.1 troy ounces)
